About Joy of Jesus
Every October, on a Saturday, we gather in Downtown San Antonio at Travis Park to share God’s love with those who need it most. Some ministries to serve in are: Bicycle Ministry, Bible Counseling, Street Witnessing, Clothing Ministry, Children’s Ministry, Clown Ministry, Spanish Bible Counseling, Food Ministry and so much more. The table in the center of the foyer has a binder with all of the sign-up sheets. Some work in more than one ministry. If you cannot serve, or have not been to a JOJ yet, make plans to come see the amazing work that God does there and how mightily he uses us all!
JoJ Donations to Church:
Sorted and Folded Clothing (especially Men’s), Small Toys/Gifts, NEW Adult Bikes, Toiletries, Reading Glasses, New Underwear, Tube Socks, Blankets, Backpacks or Large Carrying Bags (for clothes).
Need for Servants:
Various ministries require servants for setup and tear-down times from early morning and/or late afternoon.
Servants needed include:
Bikes, Blanket Distribution, Canopy Setup, Barbers/Hair Stylists, Beauticians/Make Up Artists, Clean Up, Clowns, Face Painting, Parking, Relief Team, Toy Distribution, Spanish Bible Counseling, Tear Down Team.
Day of:
JOJ T-Shirts will be handed out Friday Night, after Service, or at the Park on Saturday (T-Shirt Pick Up table will be at the Relief Team Tent).
Drop-Off/Pick Up on Jefferson St. ONLY. Please do not stop or park on Pecan St. For equipment/material drop off, see Pastor Juan.
Free Parking is limited, so first come first park.
The parking lot is located at: 530 McCollough Avenue, SA TX 78215.
Shuttles are available from and to the parking lot.
